Saltcreek Sundance is a Lakota Native American Sundance Ceremony. It is a sacred ceremony among the Lakota people. It is not entertainment. The Native American sponsors share the Great Spirit through songs and prayers.  Please join us on this red road.  Saltcreek Sundance is open to all of the people, not just those of Native American blood.

We welcome all regardless of race or religion.

"A nation is not conquered until the hearts of its women are on the ground.

Then it is finished, no matter how brave its warriors or how strong their weapons."

Tsistsistas, Cheyenne

2009 will be the 18th annual Salt Creek Sundance Ceremony. The sundance is not a rite of passage into manhood, nor is it a test of bravery or courage. Rather, the sundance is a form of prayer. It is one of the seven sacred ceremonies given to the Lakota people.

The SaltCreek Sundance site has been created to fill two needs...

This site is intended to be a starting place for folks wanting to get to sundance who have never been there before.  It will help them understand what Saltcreek Sundance is along with what to expect from the experience.

It is also intended to be a place for exchange of information in a good way.  Our family is located worldwide and this site is meant to pull us together when we are apart.  This site & the forums are not a place for gossip or any negative exchange of ideas.

Please respect the Sundance and Grandfather Steve

Use this site in a good way!
